Cerec treatment procedure

The entire treatment takes about one hour.

"Optical cast"

A small mouth camera takes an optical cast of the prepared tooth (prepared means caries and old fillings have been removed) at the start. The screen shows an exact, three-dimensional model of the tooth.

Computer-Aided design and manufacturing - Cad-Cam System

The tooth's missing part is designed on the computer (CAD) to the most precise level possible and then manufactured in a custom-fit form from a ceramic block by the computer (CAM).

The new Cerec part is fitted to the tooth using a special adhesive procedure.
